On May 8th Scubazoo director and senior cameraman Simon Enderby made his way to “The Brewery” in London to attend the 2011 BAFTA Television Craft Awards. He was there, on behalf of Scubazoo, as a BAFTA nominee for his underwater filming contribution to Human Planet: Oceans.

Human Planet: Oceans was originally screened on BBC1HD in early January 2011 and was  a resounding success with the British viewing public. It’s since aired in the US, been released on DVD, and has gone on to be well received by audiences around the world. The Human Planet series was just as well received by the television industry itself and received no fewer than 7 ‘BAFTA Television Craft Award’ nominations for direction, sound, editing and of course filming. Although the unique beauty and freezing drama of the Human Planet: Arctic episode subsequently beat the Oceans and Jungles camera crew to the BAFTA for ‘Photography in a Factual Programme’ the entire Human Planet team celebrated the series overall success in grand style.
